In 2024, TESS (Trade, Environment and Sustainable Development Goals Forum) convened an informal roundtable in Geneva on “Trade, Climate Adaptation and Climate Resilient Development.” The event brought together representatives of governments, international organizations, think tanks and experts to discuss ways forward for policy action and strengthen cooperation in this important area.

The roundtable aimed to deepen understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing countries in the areas of trade and climate change adaptation, as well as to develop practical approaches to climate-resilient development. UNAC participated in the discussions during the event, emphasizing the need to include access to safe water and sustainable community development on the international political agenda.
This event has become an important platform for the exchange of views between international experts, diplomats and activists. We were happy to join this global debate by participating in the discussions and focusing on issues of sustainability and adaptation to climate change at the local and global levels.
